Turmeric Hot Chocolate



This hot chocolate recipe is packed with super ingredients to provide you with the perfect winter pick me up! The recipe is is dairy-free, naturally sweetened, and packed with healing ingredients including cinnamon, turmeric and cacao. Adding the pepper also helps with the absorption of turmeric! So snuggle up and enjoy this delicious treat!



Ingredients

  • 4 cups unsweetened almond milk (or milk of your choice)

  • 4 Tablespoons raw cacao powder

  • 4 Tablespoons pure maple syrup

  • 3 teaspoons ground turmeric

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • pinch black pepper


Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium sized saucepan over a medium heat, whisking to break up an clumps. Bring to a simmer, continuously stirring until smooth and piping hot.

  2. Remove from heat and serve among 4 mugs - enjoy!
