Turmeric Hot Chocolate
This hot chocolate recipe is packed with super ingredients to provide you with the perfect winter pick me up! The recipe is is dairy-free, naturally sweetened, and packed with healing ingredients including cinnamon, turmeric and cacao. Adding the pepper also helps with the absorption of turmeric! So snuggle up and enjoy this delicious treat!
4 cups unsweetened almond milk (or milk of your choice)
4 Tablespoons raw cacao powder
4 Tablespoons pure maple syrup
3 teaspoons ground turmeric
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
pinch black pepper
Combine all ingredients in a medium sized saucepan over a medium heat, whisking to break up an clumps. Bring to a simmer, continuously stirring until smooth and piping hot.
Remove from heat and serve among 4 mugs - enjoy!
