Pumpkin Pie Protein Shake





This protein shake is a great treat to give the kids before heading out to trick or treat! Packed with protein and some added fibre, it is a great way to fill them up with nourishing ingredients that will provide sustained energy, as well as reducing their appetite for an excess of candy! It also makes the perfect breakfast or after workout smoothie, just like a piece of pumpkin pie in a glass! Top Tip: I buy a whole butternut squash and chop it up, steam and blitz it to make my own puree, making it healthier and getting a serve of veggies!



Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup pumpkin puree

  • 1/2 cup peaches

  • 1 cup low sugar frozen yoghurt

  • 1/2 cup Greek yoghurt

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • 2 Tablespoons vanilla protein powder

  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice

  • 1 teaspoon ground flaxseeds

  • 1 cup ice



Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into a blender and blitz on high for 1-2 minutes or until fully blended.

  2. Serve between two glasses. Enjoy!
