Low Salt Salsa



Store bought salsa's can be high in sodium, with many having over 400mg per 100g serving! So the next time taco Tuesday rolls around, why not try making your own homemade salsa? This quick, easy, and low sodium salsa recipe is ready in under 5 minutes and contains all fresh ingredients, making it a healthier and more delicious choice!



Ingredients

  • 6 vine ripened tomatoes, roughly chopped

  • 1 small brown onion, rough chopped

  • 2 red cayenne chillies, roughly chopped

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1/2 cup corriander, roughly chopped

  • 2 limes, juiced

  • 2 Tablespoons ground cumin

  • 1 Tablespoon ground coriander

  • 2 teaspoons chilli flakes, add more or less for desired heat

  • Pinch Black pepper



Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into a food processor and blitz until the mixture is small and chunky, or to your desired thickness.

  2. Serve chilled, with plain tortilla chips and chopped vegetables. Enjoy!
