Chocolate Hummus



With only a few simple steps you can make this sweet, creamy and smooth homemade hummus - packed full of plant-based protein, fibre, iron, folate, phosphorus and B vitamins, making it the perfect go-to snack, or dessert option the whole family will love!



Ingredients

  • 1 425g tin cooked chickpeas (organic & low sodium), drained & rinsed

  • 3 Medjool dates, pitted

  • 1/3 cup natural, unsweetened almond butter

  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup

  • 1/4 cup organic cacao powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

  • 1/4 cup warm water



Directions

  1. Place all ingredients (except the water) into a food processor and blitz until smooth.

  2. Gradually add the water and mix until well combined.

  3. Chill or serve at room temperature with chopped fruit or plain crackers.

  4. Cover and store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
