NUTRITION FOR AUTISM

IMG_8034 (1).jpg

"We provide evidence-based and practical nutritional advice that best suits our clients specific needs and abilities. We work alongside parents and caregivers to provide them with a better understanding of their children's nutritional requirements and develop healthy eating plans that fit their individual needs."

Nutrition for autism can help support autistic children and teens by providing a nutritious and balanced diet, helping to contribute to their capacity for learning and processing information, as well as managing behaviours and emotions. However, this can be a challenge for kids with ASD as they often have sensory challenges that lead them to avoid certain foods, have restrictions on what they eat, as well as poorly developed motor skills that make it difficult to sit through mealtimes, leaving them at an increased risk of being nutrient deficient.

HOW WE CAN HELP

We work with kids and teens with ASD to support healthy growth and development, providing them with healthy eating strategies to address sensory needs, as well hands on cooking experience. Our goal is to help our clients to become more varied eaters, have harmonious mealtimes, and establish regular nutritious meals.
