"We provide evidence-based and practical nutritional advice that best suits our clients specific needs and abilities. We work alongside parents and caregivers to provide them with a better understanding of their children's nutritional requirements and develop healthy eating plans that fit their individual needs."

WHAT IS FEEDING THERAPY?

SOSTrainedVerticalColorpng50Download.png

At Be Well Nourishment, we use the evidence-based SOS (Sequential Oral Sensory) approach to help individuals with limited diets feel confident trying new foods and, where needed, develop chewing and oral motor skills. This family-centred program combines posture, sensory integration, motor skills, behaviour, social–emotional development, and nutrition through exploration and creative play.

Feeding therapy supports children, teens, and adults experiencing selective eating, sensory issues, or food aversions that impact nutrition, growth, and mealtime harmony. Using low-pressure, enjoyable activities, we help clients reduce mealtime stress, build independence, and expand their food variety in a supportive, engaging environment.

CAN FEEDING THERAPY SESSIONS HELP MY CHILD?

Most children go through fussy phases. But, if mealtimes are an ongoing cause of stress, your child may have a feeding problem.

Feeding therapy sessions may be beneficial if your child:

  • Eats different meals to the family

  • Difficulty with different food textures

  • Gagging or vomiting when eating

  • Frequent mealtime battles & meltdowns

  • Aversion to whole food groups

  • Is underweight or overweight
